Give.

Just sharing some links today for non profit organizations that I think are just fantastic.

Some were sent to me by friends and other bloggers.

If you are looking for a great cause or motivation to be involved with, I hope these can be a start.

Oh Snap! Senior Hunger is on the Rise?

Helping out a cause is near and dear to my heart and today I was sad to read that Georgia

is #6 in the list of top 7 States with Seniors at risk of Hunger! Craziness I know.  Now I’m asking myself, how?

Are Sunday dinners no more? What about Church gatherings? Non-Profits? Hello, anybody out there? Anybody listening?

I am self examining trying to figure out how I may be contributing to this neglect of our Senior citizens. Is it our daily grind?

I’ve thought about finding organizations in my town of Dacula, GA to no such luck. So my thoughts now steer towards a “better yet”, how can my family and I make a difference? So I am actively asking folks I come across if they know someone who would enjoy a home cooked meal a couple of times a week. I cook on most days and have left overs every time. I’ll keep y’all updated and hopefully I’ll find me a “dinner buddy”.

Is your State on this list? http://feedingamerica.org/hunger-in-america/hunger-facts/hunger-and-poverty-statistics.aspx

Does it matter?

Share with me your theory on what is missing here to help out this much over looked social cause. If you live in Gwinnett County or in Metro Atlanta, what organizations or groups are actively attending to this cause?
